Having purchased the traditional wool slipper last year during a once-in-a lifetime trip to Ireland as a gift for my ex-pat grandmother, she wore out the sole through her love for them and constant declaration that they were the "most cozy and comfortable" slippers she'd ever owned. This year we shipped a pair of the rubber-soled Faux Suede Boot Slippers overseas to Canada. Having duct-taped the soles of her others, she was ready for an upgrade. These slippers are just as quality made, soft, and stylish.
